Control where your domain sends website, email and other internet traffic.
Understanding DNS
- Nameservers identify the DNS service responsible for your domain.
- A records normally point a hostname to an IPv4 address.
- CNAME records point one hostname to another hostname.
- MX records determine where email for your domain is delivered.
- TXT records are commonly used for domain verification and email-security records such as SPF and other services.
DNS Changes
DNS changes may not appear everywhere immediately because cached records can take time to refresh.
Important
Incorrect DNS changes can take your website or email offline. Record the existing values before making changes and contact support if you are uncertain.
